Sneijder: "I'm Staying At Inter Milan
Wesley Sneijder has confirmed he is staying at Inter
Milan ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.
The Holland international has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League champions Manchester United.
The talented 27-year-old previously admitted he would be open to joining The Red Devils while a number of United stars stated he would be a perfect fit at Old Trafford.
Regardless of the speculation a fee was never agreed between the clubs and now Sneijder has confirmed he will be staying with Inter.
The former Real Madrid and Ajax man admits that anything is possible in football, but believes there is not enough time for a transfer to materialise.
"I'm staying at Inter. I don't think I'll leave at this moment of market,"
Sneijder told Dutch TV channel NOS.
"Manchester United? Anything is possible in football, but I don't think this time something will happen.
"I know that if I were to leave it would have be for the right price, Inter was clear about that. But I have not spoken formally with the two Manchester clubs."

Inter: No Bid from Manchester United
Inter Milan have again insisted there are no
negotiations taking place with Manchester United regarding a deal for Wesley Sneijder.
Premier League champions United have repeatedly been linked with a £35million move to sign Sneijder as a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes.
Sir Alex Ferguson stated last weekend that it was 'absolute nonsense' that the Red Devils had given the Netherlands international an ultimatum regarding a contract offer.
Reports persist that United still want to sign Sneijder before the close of the transfer window, with chief executive David Gill having suggested the club are in the market for one more 'world-class' player.
Former Real Madrid schemer Sneijder is currently in China ahead of Inter's Italian Super Cup clash with city rivals AC Milan and he has said he is ignoring the rumours about his future.
Inter have consistently stressed there are no discussions taking place with United and chief executive officer Ernesto Paolillo has reinforced this stance.
"There are no negotiations for him," said Paolillo in Beijing.
"I've already said it and I repeat it - there aren't any negotiations.
"If an offer arrives that is non-refusable, and this is the same for Sneijder
and every other player, only in that moment would we think about what to do."

Manchester United Agree Fee For Wesley Sneijder
Wesley Sneijder WILL become a Manchester United player this week... if he accepts a restructured pay-deal to move to the Premier League.
The Dutch midfielder's club, Inter Milan, have paved the way for a £30million-plus transfer by accepting, in principle, a formal offer United made at the weekend.
They are ready to grant Sneijder permission to speak to officials from Old Trafford, and the Mirror understands those talks will take place later this week.
The only stumbling block to what would surely be world football's deal of the summer is the player's wage demands, given the tax-favourable status he enjoys while playing in Italy.
Sneijder doesn't want to take a pay-cut on a salary that would earn him the equivalent of almost £190,000 a week in the Premier League - which is way outside United's pay structure.
The English champions though, are prepared to talk about a sliding pay scale that will see a large basic wage topped up with generous bonuses as well as signing-on fees that will be spread over the length of the contract.
That would almost match his contract with Inter, and, given that United players can earn large sums through image rights - which are less effective at other European clubs - it would appear a compromise could be reached.
Both clubs were cagey about the situation yesterday, with Inter officials confirming there had been a formal bid from England, and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson suggesting the player had to think about his club's offer.
Ferguson held talks with United chief executive David Gill about the prospect of an improved salary package for Sneijder that would not break the club's wage structure, and there was optimism a deal could be struck.
The player's agent is expected to fly into London before the weekend, and United are hoping to have the Holland international training with the squad in time for the start of the Premier League season a week on Saturday.
Inter had considered a part exchange deal, with Dimitar Berbatov moving the other way, but while they haven't ruled that out completely they have indicated they would prefer the cash up front, with an option to negotiate on striker Berbatov separately.

Sneijder To MUFC back on?
Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has refused to
rule out a move to Manchester United but is likely to have to lower his wage
demands to seal a move to Old Trafford.
"There is always a chance something will happen but we will see," he said. The 27-year-old Dutchman is valued at around £35m but has a reported weekly wage of £250,000.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has denied reports he said a deal has been offered to Sneijder before a fee was agreed.
Manchester United have so far signed keeper David de Gea, defender Phil Jones and forward Ashley Young this summer but may wish to add a midfielder to that list following Paul Scholes' retirement at the end of last season.
Ferguson has previously said he has "no real interest" in Sneijder, but Gian Piero Gasperini, the Inter manager, acknowledged that there has been an offer for the midfielder.
Gasperini has told United they must speak with his club, and not the player,if they want to conclude a deal.
"I appreciate there's been an offer, but it's with Inter the negotiations should take place," said Gasperini.
"I'm not necessarily worried, it's normal in this time to have this type of situation. The market is open to 31 August, and it will continue to happen until then.
"It's not just Inter, it's the same with other big clubs who have players that are object of desire for big clubs."
Sneijder, who has previously spoken of his commitment to Inter, added at the weekend: "What is going to happen we will see, but I am a happy guy.
"There is always speculation, every year. I have been at the highest level for 10 years and there is always speculation, but look, I am still here.
"I am happy to train every day with my colleagues and play my games for the fans and every one at the club and whatever happens after that, we will see."

Ferguson - No Chance of Sneijder
Sir Alex Ferguson says it is time to forget about Manchester United signing Inter Milan ace Wesley Sneijder.
Even thoughFerguson denied having any current interest in the Holland midfielder on Thursday, there has still been plenty of speculation about a deal, including a claim that shirt manufacturers Nike may get involved to push it through.
However, when asked about Sneijder in Seattle on Sunday, Ferguson's response was blunt.
"Forget it," he said. "We are looking at some things but I am not so sure Sneijder will be easy to get."

United v City for Sneijder?
Manchester City and Manchester United are locked in a battle to land Wesley Sneijder.
Manchester might be the capital of world football but both clubs have so far hit a brick wall in their hunt for a new central midfielder to pull the strings next season.
But the playmaker they both need and is still available – albeit at £30m – is Dutch World Cup superstar Sneijder.
Spurs have stated categorically that Luka Modric is not for sale, but even if they can be beaten into submission it is Chelsea who hold the aces with the 25-year old revealing he would prefer the short switch from North to West London ahead of moving to Manchester.
The most coveted engine room player in Europe remains Inter Milan’s Sneijder.
Both City and United want the inspirational 27-year-old and a head-to-head between Manchester’s big two is underway for the player who would be able to demand a £200,000-a-week salary.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has indicated he has had word from Sneijder that he wants to stay at the San Siro, but that won’t put off Blues boss Roberto Mancini.
“I have spoken to Maicon, Sneijder and Eto’o and they have all told me they want to continue with us,” Moratti revealed.
City and United have, meanwhile, been beaten to their No.1 summer target,Udinese’s Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez, by Barcelona.
That leaves the Reds and Blues scouring for potential alternatives and Palermo’s Javier Pastore is also on the radar of both clubs, although the £44m valuation the Italians have placed on the 21-year-old Argentine could be a stumbling block.
City have also been monitoring Valencia’s 23-year-old Spanish international Juan Matta

Sneijder casts doubt over Inter future
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted it was upsetting to hear Wesley Sneijder cast doubt over his future at the club.
The Dutch midfielder stated over the weekend that he could not be certain of staying at Inter beyond the summer, after being linked with a move elsewhere.
Manchester United and Chelsea are among those to have been credited with an interest and his comments have only served to fuel speculation.
Sneijder said: "I love Inter with all my heart, but only God will decide where my future lies."
Moratti has now responded with disappointment, conceding that Sneijder's situation is causing concern.
Speaking outside his Milan offices, Moratti told reporters: "It was sad to hear those comments."
No Bielsa contact Sneijder was brought to Inter by then manager Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2009 and, prior to the weekend, had pledged his commitment to the club.
